PROJECT REVIEWS
Project
1129 – Payne Road Bridge
Client
Brisbane City Council
Location
Payne Road, The Gap, Brisbane
Scope of Work
Conducted crack repair on the underside of a small road bridge on Payne Road. To limit site impact into the stream and environment, extensive ground sheeting was laid to ensure containment of the work site. Cleaning was also conducted throughout the day to further limit impact from the small working area on the scaffolding.
Crack Injection
Surface preparation was made to
manufacturer’s specifications to maximise the effectiveness of the repair. Tam Rez 210 Epoxy Crack Injection Resin was
then used to fill the surface cracks where the injection nipples were placed 200mm apart – the resin was again applied
to manufacturer’s specifications. With the resin applied, the surface was ground down to a smooth finish and two coats
of Sikagard 706 Thixo were applied as a protective coating.
